Our Herd |
Currently we have one BLM mustang mare, and three donkeys. In the past we have had 4 mustangs and 1 donkey. You never know when one may arrive or one may leave. |
The BLM burro boys. Colby 5 yr old(front) & Paco 3 yrs old(back). Colby is from Death Valley, Ca and Paco is from McGee Mountain, Nv. Each boy has his own donk-onality. Colby is our bold ass and paco is the shy ass. But put them both togeather and you have chaos. they love to play and figure things out. |
Belladonna: 7 yr old BLM buckskin mustang mare. Belladonna is the "mother" to all the long ears here. She is also one of the first to greet people at the gate and demand "her" time. She is also our mustang mascot to introduce and educate the public about these animals. |
Sissy: Mammoth donkey (13.2hh) 12yrs old. Sissy came to us in April 2008 from a fellow donkey addicted and rescuer. She arrived over weight, bad hooves and rain rot issues. through careful trimings and proper feed and exercise, plus meds for the rot. She is healing and is ONE of the herd members. Because she is the oldest animal here, she is the Old ass in our long ear herd. |
